‘a sea between us…’
Installation
2023

A visual memory of closeness and distance.
With the sea I feel one and with her I feel one. But in getting older I need to find the balance between distance and closeness. So I tried to put the sea between us.
The sea that was once my home, the sea that reminds me of the first place I ever resided in.
Generational trauma in womanhood and the relation between the mother and her daughter, through the childish exploration of the world. Through a correspondence, to create a new mother-daughter language.
